TROM01 Restriction/04
The Rearick were short, stocky miners and craftsmen who made their home in half-buried cities in the mountains south of Arcadia called the Heights. Although these men were adults, Hannah stood a little taller than them. A life working in the caves made them short but ridiculously strong. On their way to becoming dwarves, but not there yet. Probably about 5' 5" in Restriction. Came into town monthly for relaxation. Craigstown was their mountain home.
TROM01 Restriction/09
Karl, a Rearick saved her from a wild boar when she had walked out of the tower, in defieance of Ezekiel's commands. Gave her a knife for defense.

TOTFD01 The Arcadian Druid/02, 3
Rearick were shorter than most people, but they were built like small, brick shit houses. They could drink a man under the table or kick his ass if the occasion called for it. They could even do both at the same time. The men were feisty, and the women were worse. Still, they were good, honest people. Not much for apologies or praise. If a rearick made a promise, they fought to the death to keep it. Extremely cautious about magic. didn't trust it at all. Rearick are very strange, but noble creatures.
They came and went, bringing shipments of the mystics’ brew, the amphorald gems and magitech crystals that fueled the magical devices, and whatever other items the city (Arcadia) might have need for from the highlands. They always traveled together. Safety in numbers.
AND01 Dawn of Destiny/15
Rearick culture was very traditional when it came to gender roles. Garrett’s tentative attraction to his colleague gave him an urge to protect her, keep her away from danger and the sort of hardships the men faced.
Though Rearick women were no strangers to hard work, and deeply respected for their management skills, they were rarely seen in male-dominated jobs like the guards.
And yet, he’d seen her fight. He knew she excelled in hand-to-hand combat and could probably beat even him. That caused a discomfort and Garrett couldn’t get to the root of it. Bastian could. His detached view of Garrett’s emotions made it easy to spot. Garrett admired her, even thought she'd be an excellent leader
However, he also wanted to protect her, keep her safe. His worry was distracting him to the point it was dangerous, and his twisted logic couldn't reconcile the two versions of her.
