| After the Age of Madness ended, populations started to regroup, and to re-civilize. People did not know much about technology (not much left), and so new ways were found to solve old problems. Because of the re-programmed nanocyte situation (Boris Chronicles), people had access to personal energy (Etheric Dimension), and started using it for various needs. Because they did not know what they were doing, scientifically, it was given the generic name, magic. To learn to control this new talent, academies were formed teach about those solutions, about the use of their "magic"
But, humans being human, use of magic was not always for the good of all. Ezekiel, one of the original teachers, comes to Arcadia to check on how his original experimental city was doing. He found it in utter chaos, due to the corruption of one of the leaders left in control. With the appearance of Hannah, a unique individual born into Arcadia, and her discovery and development, Restriction begins with Ezekiel's cleansing of Arcadia. |

THE FAR FUTURE
Chapter Prologue
Catherine, a teacher of honor students in New Arcadia, is reviewing the history of their society, from Bethany Anne’s time (nanocytes, Planetary Orbital Defense System) through TSDA (Michael), the Age of Madness (The Mad, the Founder, who saved them), and now, into the Age of Magic, and how it all had evolved, spotlighting the story of Hannah, the Heroine of Magic, and what she had done.
FIRST EVENT
Chapter 1
Hannah, a common girl, and her brother William (5 years younger), were going for an outing to a park in Arcadia, a city on Irth. William sickened, and Catherine healed him by use of unfamiliar powers (energy to a salamander/lizard?). She was reported to the Hunters (those who hunted and killed others who used magic unlawfully), who captured and had begun to abuse, rape her. Saved by Ezekiel, an oldster (gone for 50 years) who had just returned to Arcadia, and found that his task would be to cleanse this place, with the help of Hannah, when he could find her. He had killed one Hunter, and beaten,injured other two. She had escaped while he was busy with that.
Chapter 2
After Hannah’s escape, she went back to their home in QBB (Queen Bitch Boulevard), was greeted by her drunken father, went to her room, as it had gotten dark. Green lizard found her there, scratched on window to be let in, slept on her bed that night. Named him Sal.
HANNAH'S ACTIVITIES
Chapter 4, 5
Hannah usually obtained money by either scamming others, or by pickpocketing during entertaining events. One of the entertainments of the lower class was The Pit, a daily occurrence featuring boxing and mixed method fighting. Parker, a young man who needed money, wanted to go against Wildman Hank, the winner for the last year. Mac, the bookie, said no initially, but finally gave in, and Parker came on. Hannah bet the Rearicks, 8/1, that Parker would win. They took her on. He did, and she did. They were really partners, and had planned this together.
Chapter 6
Parker pulls a crowd with juggling while Hannah pickpockets them while they watch. Ezekiel watches, sends power to save her when she’s caught.
Chapter 7
Miranda, a small (4’ 8”) older lady, was healer of QBB. Hannah needed meds for injuries Hunters had done her, and for William.
EZEKIEL
Chapter 5
Visits Ezekiel again familiarizes himself with Arcadia by visiting old friends, and by touring various parts of the city. He visits a long-lost love, Eve, whom had wanted only a small plot of land for a garden, and a house in which to raise a family. He found her, and her niece, Madelyn, her sister Jessica’s daughter, living among the upper class homes. Learns history of city. (See Locations, Arcadia).
Chapter 6
Preacher, who believed in the truth of the Patriarch and the Matriarch (The Bitch and the Bastard), and that the Founder would return and rescue the city.
When the Unlawfuls have been wiped out and the purity of magic returns to Arcadia. Never forget my children, unlawful magic is a scourge upon our city. These criminals and heathens do dark deeds by night. Only the pure will know the Patriarch and the Matriarch’s blessing. Ezekiel, listening, knows something is wrong with this. A false prophet! The Prophet and his ministry only served to distract people from their real problems; to have them blame the Unlawfuls rather than the nobles. The Governor's decrees and the Academy’s restrictions—the things that really hurt people—were only supported by the Prophet’s perverted message. The Prophet mobilized the people against Unlawfuls.
Chapter 7
Tours Takes a tour of the Academy.Hears so much nonsense about Adrien that creates a boulder and shatters his statue.
Chapter 8
More Visits Visits Hannah and William in their hose, just as their father was about to beat them up. Stopped dad, banished him from house until he got a job, and cursed him so that any drink that passed his lips would taste like donkey piss. They ask who he is, and realize that he is indeed the Founder, returned. Proved when he cures William. She is a magician. Will she help him save Arcadia?
THE STATE OF THE CITY
Chapter 2
Adrien, Chancellor of the Academy, and Arcadia’s Governor, have a plan to control the area by development of weapons and “magic” (magitech). Adrien is using the Academy to do research and development of new weapons. Received news that deadline would be 4 months late on first weapon. Doyle also tried to warn Adrien of powers demonstrated in latest Upset with Unlawfuls. Adrien swore him to silence on pain of death.
Chapter 4, 8
Adrien visits Hunters, makes certain it’s really Ezekiel, kills one Hunter, charges other two to bring girl to him. Adrien will take care of old man. Adrien is almost sure that Ezekiel has returned and asks Jack, toll-keeper of QBB (Queen Bitch's Boulevard), to come see him.
SAVING ARCADIA
Chapter 9
Hannah agrees to go with Ezekiel (on a trial basis), and they go outside city to old, crumbled castle, from Age of Madness. Ezekiel had teleported them there, at great cost of energy. T be their home while they train, get ready for their activities. Had brought Sal with her. Took a walk outside, with Sal, despite Ezekiel’s warning about the forest. Pig-type animal attacks her, and she is saved by a rearick named Karl, who gives her a knife for her defense in the future. Takes her back to the Tower.
Chapter 10
History Ezekiel and Hannah take a walk while he tells her of the real history of Earth – the descent into Madness, what magic really is, and how the Oracle (Lilith) learned to “flip the switch” that turned Etheric energy into magic, the energy that built the first, beautiful Arcadia. And unless she and Ezekiel stop him, he will tear it down with that same magic.
Chapter 11
Hannah will need to train in all three magics, to become a polymage, to be successful.(See Technology, Magic, Arcadian Magic )
Chapter 14,20
Adrien Ezekiel spends time in Arcadia, investigating Adrien, how he has changed. Tells Hannah of Adrien’s history, abilities. Ezekiel meets with Adrien, on QBB, in Arcadia. Adrien attempts to kill him with a fireball, but it was only a hologram. He never really was with Ezekiel. Ezekiel had fooled him. Adrien was worried, as Ezekiel had demonstrated more magic than he had had before. Ezekiel was now expert in all three branches, not just physical as Arcadians were. Set a group to travel to the Heights, to assess the Mystics.
Chapter 2
Adrien realized that Hannah was the pawn to control Ezekiel, so went to QBB to find ways to control that pawn. Captures William, causes his pain to register with Hannah
Chapter 10, 16
PARKER Because Hannah has disappeared, Parker has paired up with Sam to help with the scams. After a shell game, William brings Parker to a secret place (clubhouse) he and Hannah used to frequent, to tell Parker about what had been going on Hannah going away to learn magic, Ezekiel, told him everything.
Parker still missing Hannah, so goes to find her. She finds him, treed by a lycanthrope (early Were wolf see Creatures Lycanthrope), in the forest by the tower. They both attack it, and kill it, magic plus hard rocks.
HANNAH HOMESICK
Chapter 16
Going stir-crazy- three rooms in tower, training every day, Ezekiel and a lizard to talk to, and Ezekiel gone over half the time. Missing QBB, Parker, William. It was the first time she had been away from the place that had made up her entire existence, and she missed nearly all of it.
Ezekiel needs to go visit mystics to help her control her power, so she needs to stay in Tower, keep practicing until he gets back, however long it takes.
Parker still missing Hannah, so goes to find her. She finds him, treed by a lycanthrope, in the forest by the tower. They both attack it, and kill it, magic plus hard rocks. Discuss Adrien, Arcadia, and the bounty on her head.
Chapter 19, 20
Hannah feel pain in head, realizes it is William’s pain, that Adrien must have him. She and Parker go to Arcadia to save him. Sneak in through a sewer under city wall. No one in streets, under curfew. Parker pretends drunk, lurches past QBB toll takers, they chase him, leaving gate empty. Rooftop chase lets Parker kill both of them, goes to help Hannah.
Chapter 21
Hannah goes to house on QBB, finds it covered in blood, no one there. Finds father beaten to death, William dying. Talked with him a little,. He had told them nothing. As \she mourned him, the Hunter who had tried to rape her before came in to capture her. In a rage, she attacked him, lost contro, killed him, ruined the house. Ezekiel had put a protective dome over the house, so neighborhood survived. Hannah livid with rage, vows that she will destroy Adrien, and that “I will see justice served.”
EZEKIEL'S JOURNEY TO THE MYSTICS
Chapter 17
Arrives on Mountain path to the Temple, (transporting in several jumps). Walks up, knocks, is admitted by Hadley. Asks to speak with Selah, the Master. Not Selah, Julianne. Selah died two years ago. Ezekiel meets with the new Master Mystic, Julianne, a younger woman whom Selah had recommended for the post. They discuss problems, she offers to help with Hannah. After meeting, they mix with other mystics, dinner, story-time. Zoe, another of the group, tells a story, as does Ezekiel, both to the point of their problems, hoping it would help.
Chapter 18

Chapter 19
The group appeared at the Temple’s entrance, demanding to see the Master. Doorkeeper too slow, dirk thought he was reading their minds, and killed him. Ezekiel kills one of them, has the floor absorb the other, , fights with Stellan, a more experienced magically trained guard. Killed him. Ezekiel, with his last energy, heals the supposedly dead doorkeeper.
Chapter 20
He and Julianna discuss as to how they will handle this latest attempt, and foil Adrien, and decide that he Julianna will pretend (illusions) to be guards, to bring back report from Mystic Temple, so Adrien will not know they were dead. Ezekiel comes home, finds Hannah gone, signs of a clash of some kind, teleports to where she is, finding her in the midst of the battle with the Hunters, at her old house.
ADRIEN'S WORDS
Chapter EPILOGUE
As Adrien sat watching the lights on QBB flicker and flame, he thought that he had won. When Doyle told him the Hunters were dead, Adrien was furious, almost killed Doyle. Thought better of it, and planned to speed up their Magitech project, and make them all pay.
