Vampires in general

TKG all books

Michael Anderle was questioned about the difference between vampires and enhanced humans. Are upgraded humans vampires, even though they do not need blood any longer? Through discussions with Michael Anderle and staff (July, 2018), it was decided that: Pod-doc enhancement in the TKG Universe is now intended to change humans into healthy, longer-lasting human beings. True vampires still need to drink blood as their energy source. Although creating these creatures was one of the original goals of TOM's pod-doc, it has worked out that, through the addition of energy from the Etheric, enhanced humans are not vampires. They are enhanced humans. Yes, they have some of the same capabilities - red eyes, fangs, changing forms when fighting (claws, extra strength), but should not be described or named as vampires because they are using a different energy source.

Changes not a natural human mutation. Occurred when Kurtherian clans re-programmed humans to better help the Clan's fight galactic enemies, rule Earth or other planets, etc. When TOM (a Kurtherian of a good clan), re-programmed Michael he wanted only to improve the human race, so Michael drew on Etheric for energy, was long-lived (1000 years old in TKG 01/01), had extraordinary strength, could Myst, etc. Could live almost forever.

All vampires have a need for extra energy, which in most cases came from the blood of other humans. The changes in their DNA are caused by nanocytes introduced into their blood, which correct genetic impairments, bring the body to its genetic optimal best. When Michael brought Bethany Anne to TOM, and his Pod-doc enhanced her, he took more time (179 days), and did a better job on her than he had on Michael, so she did not feel the pain of the change as Michael had, and her body and connection with the Etheric dimension was a better fit. However, Bethany Anne, at first, also needed the energy, and drank the blood of humans as needed, although it was from blood banks rather than from people ( Everglades activities). Bethany Anne also was able to enhance people by giving them some of her blood to drink, rather than having to put them in a Pod-doc. (John Grimes, Stephen, others)

Vampires could generate more vampires only by injecting their blood into new victims (giving them the necessary nanocytes), and as this was done generation after generation, the nanocytes degenerated so that the newer ones received faulty, weak blood, were addicted to blood and killing, and would kill any and all to get more blood. Those beings were called the UnknownWorlders, the Forsaken and also the Nosferatu. The Nazi's in WWII, had begun working with the UnknownWorlders (under the guidance of some bad Kurtherian Clans, as well as "the greys") to try to create better soldiers for their forces. To do this, they developed a serum which could be injected to bring about a change, to enhance the body's strength and killing desire. This was the formula David and William were trying to find, and which might have existed in Schwabenland, and in Japan just before the bomb was dropped. The formula was never officially discovered.

After Bethany Anne left Earth, and after WWDE, humans discovered that vampire blood gave them longer life, better health, etc., and so an industry was evolved which hunted vampires, imprisoning them and keeping them alive, drawing their blood, for as long as they could. They became known as Blood Baggers. Selling vampire blood was a recognized and known underground activity when Michael emerged from the Etheric, and when Bethany Anne retrieved him from Earth.

Vampires in the FDG

IBC 00/6

Upgraded in Pod-doc, when FDG joined Bethany Anne in the War Axe, after pick-up in San Francisco (Terry Henry Walton's group, the FDG.) All received communications chips, and upgrades which allowed them to address the Etheric for energy, so would no longer need to drink blood. Joseph and Petricia were Foresaken, who did not drink human blood, and behaved as their FDG "brothers". Valerie and Robin were also Vampires.

EA 01/11 Christina needed more energy to change to Pricolici form, so Anne gave her a vial of her blood to drink. It worked, except that Were and vamp blood don’t mix, and Christina might get sick from it.
