Bethany Anne has disappeared from the Etheric Empire, and Baba Yaga searches for and finds the Seven Kurtherian Clan leaders. After many incidents/battles, she reduces them to only Three, location unknown to either them or to her. In the process, she also "revitalizes" the planet Devon.In recapping her endeavors with TOM and ADAM., Baba Yaga realizes how selfish she has been, and Bethany Anne returns to the Meredith Reynolds, to new projects and adventures, and to retrieving Michael from Earth.

Chapter 23

Baba Yaga awakens, having experienced fantastic nightmares, in which she probably equated a nuclear explosion in the Etheric. TOM and ADAM worry about her, even though she has chosen to assume the Baba Yaga personality. Baba Yaga and Shinigami discuss existence of space creatures, similar to ocean creatures, that could eat a space ship. Yes, they DO exist, Shinigami showing her pictures of ships that had been attacked.

Baba Yaga decides to go to Devon, to"clean it up" and help Ler'reck control things better, because the dregs of the worst are working their way up the political ladder. Finds Jermom and Gorllet while she is in the system. She and TOM kill Gorllet, go after other Leaders.

Baba Yaga approached Devon, all security measures intact. Stops a mugging. meets and takes Keith, a Shrillexian, with her.

In following the Kurtherians to Devon, Baba Yaga speaks to Lerr’ek, warning him that the planet Devon will be changing drastically, that the politicians will be ousted, and that an honorable and fair government will ensue. The most corrupt will stay on Devon, leaving their bodies to fertilize the new crops, the lesser evils will be deported to another planet, and the two honest ones left will work with Lerr’ek to make the planet function well.

Baba Yaga disrupts several other incidents while she is on the planet (a mugging/robbery, cleaned up seven bars that were used by politicians as meeting places, stopped a slaver from getting more product, stopped a gang turf war (Peter, Barnabas, Tabitha)..

After Baba Yaga criticizes Shinigami for acting on her own and not letting Baba Yaga do the deeds, Tom suggests that it was the same as she had done to HER friends when she ran off as Baba Yaga. Bethany Anne realized it was true, admitted her error, and returned to the Meredith Reynolds, repentant and saddened by what she had don

Kurtherians; Searches for Clan leaders

Chapter 21

After the seven Kurtherian leaders left Leath, they went to N’Var, City of Cleerk, to find someone to help them hide until they could regroup. They spoke with Jermom, who refused to do so, as the Empire was too strong in that area, and he felt he could not do it. Therefore, Gorllet (who had been sharing a body with Terel, took Jermom's body, and became Gorllett again. Kurtherians now number 8 leaders. The Seven,(now 8) then go to Devon, to contact Lerr’ek for help.Baba Yaga discovers the switch, and follows to find them.

On Devon, she catches up with Jermom, injures that body, stopping Gorllet long enough to meet and fight with TOM as well as with herself. Gorllet dies, and is pulled from Jermom’s body and incinerated. Jermom lives to go back to his planet, and Baba Yaga continues to follow the Clans’ trail.

Levelot, Number One of the Clan Leaders, goes to an un-named military planet to hire mercenaries/assassins to aid in Baba Yaga’s death.

Have traced Kurtherians to planet Ugaloff, hidden in castle-like fortress, 100 mercenaries (Noel-nis), explosives, etc. expect to destroy her there. Baba Yaga (with help of TOM and ADAM) discover plans, enters fortress though caverns beneath, blows up control room, battles Zill in Etheric (Zill can manipulate metal in that dimension as well as interfere with Bethany Anne's energy flow), then on Earth, killing body he was housed in, and, again, incinerating it. (2 down) Talked to Levelot (on Leath ship K’galeth) while she was in control room, and promises to meet them on them on planet Vel’Aisle, in the Valley of the Damned.

Teret, Behome’t, Chrio’set descend, take on host bodies of planet beings. After almost besting Baba Yaga (reprogramming nanocytes, taking over AI Shinigami), Baba Yaga defeats and kills the three on the planet, leaving only three left to dispose of (Levelot, Torik, and Var’ence.) Accuses Kurtherians of all their misdeeds, and as she is speaking with them, they are attacked by missiles sent by Shinigami, K’galeth jumped, location, direction unknown.

Empire's Plans; Lance and Addix-Federation concerns

Chapter 25

They move the huge Leath "Gate" to where it could be used to get to Earth (part of the reparations). Plan on how to protect Gate (BYPS systems, space ships, Dead Man switch,etc.) and in the process deciding that God must have been a female.Ricky Bobby now an AI, have his own ship, retire from military,do jobs for Empire.

Lance and Cheryl Lynn try to handle requests for interviews, etc., decide to NOT use holograms, as that would give THEM the power to rule the Empire, which they did not want to do. All idiots!

Lance meets with Addix, Ixtali and Federation representative. While Bethany Anne had been gone, the Empire had started moving towards a Federation structure, with many meetings and discussions as to what would happen from now on. The big issue is what they want from the Etheric Empire to help create the Etheric Federation. Many restrictions were suggested for the Empire, to gut our military, fire our people, and either share our technology or gut it and hamstring our future abilities, destroy our ships in suns (list included),including the request that Bethany Anne step down as Empress. Lance had been the one to address these meetings, suggestions, etc., and decided that the Empire would be able to seemingly abide by them, and in fact keep itself still intact. (Outsmart the Federation - Play the "Cup and Ball" game!) Reynolds WAS the right man! Decide that a team should go out to look for Baba Yaga, who might be leaving clues for her people. Barnabas, Tabitha, Ricky Bobby as pilot. Barnabas and Tabitha follow Baba Yaga to Devon, learn of all of her planet-cleaning activities.

Chapter 25

Eric and Gabrielle's twin boys now old enough to be on their own, officially kicked out of the nest. Gabrielle wants into the action again.

Giles (Frank Kurn's son) now doing digital archeology.

Admiral Thomas has a girl friend, name unknown (except to Frank Kurns).

Tabitha meets Peter at NSSquared. They commiserate, and go to her place for the night.

Tina, Admr Thomas, Bobcat, Marcus, William, decided God was a female who hated men.

Frank and Barbara Kurns requested craft training for Giles so that he could better protect himself while on archeological jaunts (Granted)

Closest friends write letters to Bethany Anne while she's gone, telling her how much they miss her(John, Lance, Patricia, Barnabas,Stephen, The Bitches, Tabitha, Peter, Team BMW). TOM and ADAM try to get her interested in prior activities -Coke & Pepsi problem)

Julianna Fregin meets with Ricky Bobby, visits, leaves with longing, sorrow at parting. Ricky Bobby feels the same.

Bethany Anne learns Frank is writing a book about Bellatrix and the puppies

How did you get her to come back?”

TOM: I took an axiom of human medicine which ADAM uncovered. Use laughter, use antics, use anything that fucking works to help them remember the past, not the present. Eventually she seemed to start helping herself, and something happened on Vel’aisle that snapped her out of the Baba Yaga mentality.

Michael is alive !

Bethany Anne receives word from Yuko, Eve, Akio that Michael is alive.
