Base of the Majestic 12. Patrick Brown and Dr. Eva Hocks meet with Ztopik, Leader of Aliens there, Ztopik. "I wish Dr. Abesemmins to come down here, and then go on this trip with the American government to Schwabenland to speak with Maria Orsitsch. He will ask certain questions, and depending on how she replies, I will know if we have a problem.” Looking for the name "Kurtherians". Tabitha had found trail to base in New Mexico (From visit to Michael's house, in N.Y.)
Adam found huge cave system, sent mosquito drones in to map 2000 sq. mile area, found base.
Tabitha waits in mansion in Boston for three to show up. (Barnabas gave her the address.) Three men bluff, insult. Tabitha calls Bethany Anne to meet, finish them off. She does, paralyzing them with fright until they die.
David, Mr. Pres.’s security guard, approached by Paula at bar. Spent the night with her. Ztopik receives report on failed missions.
Bethany Anne suits up to attack. (Skinsuit, then armor.) Unknown factors make this more dangerous, as UFO advanced technology unknown to government, or rest of the world.
20 container-sized ships above UFO Base, NORAD could not see them because of anti-radar coating. ArchAngel 300 miles above base. Front entrance defended by explosive chemicals (alien). Ships land, all disembark, plan how to approach Base. From underground. Bethany Anne, armored Guards first,Pricolici second, Yollin Mercenaries third, Were Guardians fourth. To approach from lower levels, from caves.Weres, approaching from underground caves, smell out chemicals, another explosive trap in front of them. Detour.
Patrick and Ztopik watching approach. Lasers useless. Ztopik will send out his Grays to support humans in fight .Bethany Anne changing tactics. Wants Yollins in first, then Guards.Ztopik sends out Grays to attack Yollins with debilitation devices on Maximum power, to kill. Bethany Anne warned “WE HAVE ALIENS!” as Grays attacked. One Yollin had forged ahead, was attacked and shot by Gray. Right arm disintegrated.
Bethany Anne and Guards dropped from ceiling onto Grays, killed all 6, dropped their weapons into Etheric.
Pods cannot land, as something messing up their computer. Killed humans planting explosives in elevator shaft
Bethany Anne takes Kiel into Etheric transfer with her. Back to Etheric, found way to Control Room. Patrick pulls out his Zeta weapon, ready for attack. Kiel shot most in room, Bethany Anne did the rest, including Patrick. Learn of science room filled with experimental human/aliens. Have to fight through them.
Bethany Anne finds science lab. She and Guards kill all experimental animals, come to last one, with Ztopik standing beside cage. A Zhool’tai’ch, a cross between a crocodile and an orangutan. 15’ tall. Bethany Anne keeps walking toward Ztopik, through the beast, which her Guards destroy, but Ztopik stops her with mental commands of The Master. TOM saves her, releasing her from the mental freeze. “I AM KURTHERIAN, AND YOU ARE MY BITCH!
Attack successful
Paula returned to Dulce Lake Base, found it deserted. Walks up to door, enters, and is demolished by the explosive traps left by the Majestic 12.

Base had been brought on-line, comfortable. Barnabas, as leader of the Queen’s Rangers, asks to audit the meeting, looking for people he and Bethany Anne had not yet caught up with. Dr. Abesemmins asked Maria Orsitch if she had heard of Kurtherians. No. A lead for Barnabas, as he was blocked from reading Dr. A's mind.
Barnabas explains that Thule group not as important as group thought, and nothing there important to Etheric Empire. Maria also sees WWIII coming, and doesn’t want to be around. Asks Barnabas to ask Bethany Anne if the Thule group could come into space with them, even if the Thules give the Germans core concepts about gravitic drives. Bethany Anne will have Frank call Maria to discuss ramifications.
Created in WWII. Closing now, to fight another war, in space. All nine wanted to go to space, not stay in Germany.

Mr. President returned home, Anna up on ArchAngel, Bethany Anne. Paula distraught over loss of all, calls Patrick to tell him news, wants to disappear so as not to get caught in drag-net coming to the neighborhood. Jennifer (were wolf), tracks strange scent, one that doesn’t belong. Paula escapes.
Bethany Anne goes into Etheric to retrieve David’s body, apologize to it for reacting so violently, and not mind reading him to see what might have been wrong.

This is a speech Bethany Anne gave over 3000 wanna-bee space emigrants, on Meredith Reynolds, telling them why the Etheric Empire was formed (to give the Earth options as to its future), and the conditions under which they would be living, working. Goes on for several; pages, quite detailed. Better to read in original. People would still be returned to Earth, if they wished, as long as they chose to go back before the ships went through the Gate.
