Alexis, name of Bethany Anne and Michael's baby girl. Delivered first, older of the two. Seem more sensitive to "reading" her parents. More reactive than Gabriel.

Gabriel, name of the twin boy. Seems more observant than reactive.

Twins displaying rapid maturation. Nearly walking at three months, using Etheric to talk to each other and to read their parents, potty-trained already. Both twins had already absorbed most of curriculum developed for their sleep-learning. Pod-cribs keeping track.

Growth had slowed significantly, and at three, they were more like six-year olds, and were precocious learners. Alexis takes advantage of her dad, playing him with her eyes (Bethany Anne's eyes!) This was her favorite part of family life. Almost every morning they went through this ritual of waking up and eating breakfast together, a little pocket of the day that was just for the four of them. Parenting a child with abilities like her own came with the expected challenges. Parenting twins came with a set all its own. The children needed to be occupied from morning until night. Not necessarily supervised, but definitely occupied. ADAM had come up with a rigorous learning schedule that took into account both the children’s age, the differences in their learning methods, and their constant need to absorb new information. Alexis was a logical learner, as opposed to Gabriel’s kinesthetic style. She grasped each new experience as though it were her last breath, dismantled it, and came to her own conclusions about what she’d learned, sometimes with unintended consequences. Last week she’d accidentally switched on the ability to communicate telepathically with others besides her brother and had begun broadcasting her thoughts to anyone who could hear. Bethany Anne had been working with her since then to strengthen the ability and bring it under control. Alexis got to choose her outfit for the day, but Gabriel wore blue every day regardless.

At the Birthday party, Ashur and Bellatrix bring their two new puppies to visit and meet everyone, Zeus and Athena. When all four disappear, to play, they are found in the Etheric. Question: How are they going to put a lock on the Etheric?

When Michael sets them up during Bethany Anne's shopping trip, (See Miscellaneous, Video Games), he has allowed them to fail as well as succeed. When they failed, he sent John in to help them, and refused to bring him back. As John worked with the two children, he noticed their differences. Gabriel was like a clear sky on a sunny day, where Alexis had depths even now that John couldn’t fathom. “This game can’t be just about playing explorer. It’s too big, and I still haven’t worked out why we can feel everything.” She turned dark, assessing eyes on John. “What else did Dad let slip? I just know he wouldn’t be able to resist showing off a little.” John says he was give o clues.
