As found in TSDA, was empty, dusty, deserted, no equipment, everything broken or destroyed. One structure boarded up, protected by concrete, thick wooden doors, warning of radiation (none existed). Bethany Anne had left a storage area for Michael to find on his return, with clothing, weapons, a note, to help him survive until she could get back.

Bethany Anne had left EI as guards, so that if base was invaded by anyone, or anything opened by anyone, they would notify EIs in space, who would in turn notify Yuko, Eve, and Akio in Japan, to investigate. This did, indeed happen, and they came, found safe structure had been entered, things taken. Michael had returned! Akio set out to find him, help him to Japan, etc.
