Arryn, Arcadian/Druid Human
TOTFD/Prologue Arcadian child, daughter of Christopher and Elayne. Christopher killed by Adrien, Elayne killed by Hunters, for using magic in an unauthorized fashion. Was proficient in physical magic (Fire and ice) . Arryn escaped to Druids when about nine years old, was raised by them. Arryn had promised her Mother that she would return to Arcadia and avenge their deaths. Liked to go barefoot - closer access to magic and the Earth. Because she had nor spent her early years in the Forest. relationships with nature did not come naturally to her, and she had to work hard to keep in tune with Nature. She felt as if the Druid life allowed her to be free, which she enjoyed. Adopted by Elysia and her family, to live and learn from them. She could sense, with touch, the energies of others, their magic and true nature. Was best friends wuthg Cathillian, Elysia's son, a few years older than Arryn. They were always playing pranks on each other. Arryn's familiar was a smallish golden eagle, with whom she could mind-speak rather well, wordlessly, through magic.
TOTFD 01/4 At the time of the Versuch, Elysia said of her, "Her parents didn’t train her like we train our own. This left a lot to be desired in her physical magic, I’m sure. I’ve seen her fireballs. They’re weak. Small. Add to that the fact her training abruptly stopped, her physical magic is all but useless." Cathillian accused his mother of partisanship, because "You’re afraid she’ll succeed. You’re scared she’ll go back to Arcadia and fall right back into the life she always should have had.Elysia thinks only that she needs to make sure she is strong enough to succeed in Arcadia.
