Shen

BC02 Retaliation/03, BC02 Retaliation/09 Shen, a werecat captured by a vampire (Konrad) for his blood, was the basis of an experiment to improve humans to better serve their vampire masters. All had died except one, Andrev, who became a "go-for' for Konrad. Shen had been fed their bodies as part of his food supply. He wished for death, as 2-3 months in the cage being drained of his blood was worse than death.

Shen tells Konrad of the legends (See Characters, Boris Vassily - Legends), and was rewarded with food.

BC02 Retaliation/16 When Boris captured Konrad's Omega Base, he found Shen locked up in a cage, a prisoner of Konrad's. He was loosened, and interrogated, adding much knowledge to Boris' information base. He was finally semi-trusted, and was placed with Boris team. He was still, however, a prisoner with work that was important but always double-checked. Shen was an essential part of the eradication of Konrad’s organization. It was important that it be eradicated, rather than cutting its head off only to have it grow back like a hydra. He had ten guards assigned to him permanently, both for protection and control. Considering that Shen was now free to shower, eat whatever he wanted, and sleep in a proper bed. His living situation had improved tremendously. It was evident that he appreciated the improvement and was becoming more comfortable with the team itself.

They had notified his family of his survival, and that he would probably be home in the future.

BC03 Revelations/16 Shen, working with the group on the Alien's riddle, had passing thoughts. He liked his life alone, working the black market and various scams. He didn't like representing his father's business that much, but that was what allowed him to travel, gave him the other opportunities. He was slowly becoming a valuable member of Boris’ inner circle. Worse, he found himself appreciating the feelings of trust, safety, and respect that created in him. "Does that make me a sucker for my saviors or a sucker for a cause?"
