Talia, Adrien's daughter, had plans to recapture Arcadia, and rule it, as her father had done. In The Arcadian Druid, Talia implements those plans by becoming Dean of Students at the Academy, a position of power and influence. While hiring faculty after the city had calmed down, Talia hired a physical magic person named Scarlett, who was, in reality, as much bent upon ruling the City as Talia was, and intended to use Talia to further those ends.
