Terry and Char's adopted son, commander of their Mech division of the Direct Action Branch. Mechs are powered, one-person armored suits, the "tanks" of ground combat of the Etheric Federation. Can withstand almost anything short of a direct missile hit. Are compromised when not able to get re-charged. A BIG battle problem in IBC 01. Had team of Kelly, fleeter, Gomez, Capples in first part, then acquired four more after supply ship lands. Also handles drones/micro-drones in combat, or pre-combat info gathering.
