A Luvendi, unusual in appearance (was taller and paler than most). Wasn't cruel, like Lan. Was only the vice-overseer, an assistant of sorts to Venfirdri Lan, who had once run many mines on High Tortuga. Lan was cruel, and Gar always did his best to intervene when Lan’s actions might result in an uprising.
