DW 01/2  Never Submit, Never Surrender Bar. Angie was grieving upon having lost her husband, Manny, who had been her friend, companion and lover. Also Chef for their ship, the Carda. He had been killed in action, on the Relalcitrant. According to Lilah, one of the bartenders there, there were three steps to recovery. shock, Wallowing, and recovery. Angie was wallowing, so Lilah would listen. Even months later, it hurt too much.

His mother was Colombian, and he would sing these old songs… He teased me in Spanish, too. I never knew what he was saying. He was an amazing cook. He swept me off my feet, he was so gentlemanly.”
