Druid Community
in Dark Forest
TOTFD01 The Arcadian Druid/03
They came to the cleared section where the druid community was built. Above, the branches of the trees stretched overhead, struggling to shade them, but coming up short. It was where the sun shone through the forest the brightest, allowing the various plants to grow larger and stronger. Only grass and smaller crops and flowers grew within the borders of the community—no larger trees grew for fear the lack of sun would stunt the growth of their food, which needed ample light.
TOTFD01 The Arcadian Druid/03
The house was small, as was most of the dwellings. Druids weren’t the flashiest people. They didn’t care much about jewels, expensive things, or large homes. They only cut down what they needed and were quick to replant and nurture whatever life they took. The walls and roofs were made of live trees. They planted small, strong trees or even bamboo and controlled how they grew, coaxing them to bend in certain ways to allow their inhabitants to be surrounded by life. The homes were unique to each druid and always beautiful.
Protection: It’s far too strenuous of a task for a non-druid to cross the walls we’ve created (Trees, bushes, vines) to protect the Dark Forest.
