When fight finished, and Sculla had vouched for him as a hero, Valerie invited him onto her ship, and asked him if he might want to join her forces (knows how to pilot a ship, as well). “We have a job to do in this system, and doing it will require us to get up close and personal with the locals. VE01/1 ARRIVAL

Valerie’s ship, the Singlaxian Grandeur, touched down on the planet in the Vurugu system,

Intent on involving themselves in and fulfilling their assigned mission in this system, to take a small team to this system and collect intel, the ultimate goal being to ensure that the inhabitants of this system joined the Etheric Federation in its war against any race that would see the people of Earth or other innocent races harmed.

The planet was clean, the mountains reminding her of the fjords of earth, but with a cinnamon scent. Upon exploration, they came upon a wooded area, with trees with blood-red bark and red sap. Which they named the Bleeding Woods. Problem was, she didn’t know where to start, and would figure it out on her own!

Heard a shuffling in the woods - a large bipedal figure covered in thick slabs of rock. Attacked, both sides talked. Valerie wanted to compete in the Damu Michezo, the contest of champions among alien races and wanted to know how to find it and apply. The creature, Qwaza, said that if she could beat him, he would tell her, so she did. Before he could tell her Master Platu, their owner, appeared, and told her to find the last shuttle that had just left for Tol, piloted by a Sculla, Deleck, gave her the general direction, and the Grandeur took off to find it.

Valerie, Robin, Bob, Sergeant Garcia (Security), Flynn go in pursuit.

01/2, 3, 4, 5 SHUTTLE ATTACKED

01/2 Find Shuttle being attacked in space by pirate ships, Pallicons, slavers, who would capture and sell the passengers, etc., so Valerie decided to help shuttle, and make friends. Kalan, of Clan Gah’har’zakanew, a “Grayhewn” (only two in the whole planetary system), decided to attack them and try to save the ship (in spite of their Tralen-14 guns). At the same time Valerie had approached from space, and was attacking the Pallicon ship. Blew it to bits, and decided to board the shuttle to help there.

01/3 Kalan managed to disarm and kill five of the six Pallicons inside the ship, leaving only the one in the pilot’s cabin to subdue. When Valerie came aboard, Kalan was fighting a shapeshifter who looked exactly like himself, so Valerie couldn’t tell which one was the good guy. When fight finished, and Sculla had vouched for him as a hero, Valerie invited him onto her ship, and asked him if he might want to join her forces (knows how to pilot a ship, as well). “We have a job to do in this system, and doing it will require us to get up close and personal with the locals. We could use a guy who knows the lay of the land. Someone who can stop me before I offend a whole culture by waving hello with the wrong hand or something.”

01/4 Kalan agrees to pilot shuttle to Tol, so that Valerie can join the championship.

01/5 Another ship from the Balian appears, begins firing on Grandeur. Valerie plans to send attached Pallicon ship into it, destroy it, so calls Kalan to turn off their ship’s shields, and release the captured ship. Valerie then takes the Grandeur and guides it, along with missives, to the new ships destroying them.

01/6, 7, 8, 9 KALAN'S CONTACTS
