Returns to Earth with Bethany Anne, as she needs a space archeologist to search for Kurtherian technology/artifacts after she is there. Advised by Lance that he needs to be aware of demeanor in re getting along with Michael. BE SERIOUS! Michael has been known to kill people for not saying good morning. Promises he will be REALLY careful!. Needs to improve in martial arts, weapons practice. Gives him biometrically coded tablet to use on Earth, which will automatically erase if anyone else tries to use it. To get info re Sacred Clan from ADAM. Keep this all secret!

Always seeking to be the center of attention.
Investigating talisman found on Old Earth when Bethany Anne went to pick up Michael, and discovered that a talisman, found in one of the ancient crates filled with parts, had mystical properties. Giles had kept it for a while, then gave it to the Estarians for safe-keeping.
Arlene watched Giles on his best behavior. Giles glanced around taking it all in, making note of the arrangement of the seats and wondering what it might infer about the political structure. She’d seen him do this routine countless times before with each new culture they had met on their adventures. Always the same. At least to begin with. He was gathering data. Sizing them up. She’d seen him act all nicey-nice even with known enemies and rogues only to obliterate them once his suspicions had been confirmed and he had the details he needed.
