Kurtherian pilot, transfers to Bethany Anne during her transition. Connected to her nervous system. (Spinal cord). Cannot be removed. Similar to AI for Bethany Anne. Not a match for Michael, so could not connect to him when he was transformed. Was unsure of Michael's physiology, so did as poor job of transforming him - tremendous pain, and changed him into a vampire. Therefore, TOM is probably responsible for all of the vampires in the world.

As Earth being, believed only perfection was in Mathematics so named himself Thales of Miletus, which Bethany Anne shortened to TOM. Very smart, ignorant of Earth customs, alert and perceptive 100% of the time. Mission is to protect his race.

Can talk, using Bethany Anne’s body, if she agrees.

TOM has been enhanced by his association with humans. Now capable of fighting the 7, and to protect Bethany Anne mentally, breaks through his conditioning,
saving Bethany Anne from the alien who had mind-paralyzed her, and was ready to kill her. First time TOM has moved independent of Bethany Anne .

 Their physical bodies could be yanked out of their current shells, and killed, which was what Bethany Anne did with the Clan members she personally killed, if they weren't blown up.
 If and when a Kurtherian became tired of life in a body, they could, if their beliefs were strong enough, and they were deserving of it, Ascend to the pure spiritual plane, unencumbered in any physical way. TOM, in his Kurtherian Life, had been a Priest, who helped people to transcend to that plane, which was why, in the transition of languages, he had been called a "pilot", and everyone had assumed he was, indeed, in the transportation industry. Tom requested a conversation with Bethany Anne, finally telling her he was really a priest. (Same thing in Kurtherian – lost in translation). I think that for you to have a chance of succeeding if we encounter other Kurtherians — at least those more adept with the Etheric—you need to be guided by my knowledge. The challenge will be for you to stay here in the present. All of us who know, struggle. Every day is an acknowledgment that we know how to ascend; we see the peace, the love, the delight in that, and yet we choose to stay here. Until Michael came back and Gabriel and Alexis arrived I didn’t know if you had what it took to say no to ascending, so I didn’t teach you in case… Well, in case you chose to take the less painful route.
