Ricky Bobby's new vehicle. When he returned from his rescue, his old ship had been damaged, and he was mentally unstable, for an A!. He had been alone for so long, he was almost unable to interface with working with people.

The Empire did not want to abandon him, or to disconnect him, so created a ship from which he could do research, physically reporting back to the empire every fifty or 100 years, but keeping in touch.
