His name was Chaos Is In Limited Options, CILO (See characters, and he had tortured his AI, and Gyada, until they were both insane. When Olaf and his people found Gyada, she could not communicate (fear and isolation), and they called her The Beast, and caged her,  and because intelligence spoke only Kurtherian, of a dialogue before TOM's time, they  first left it alone in the cave, visiting it for contact, and then put it in a Faraday cage, as a protection for all concerned (after two weeks) It also cut off its mental communications with Gyada. Gyada missed her voice. They did supply a device that would transmit a Kurtherian to Russian and a Kurtherian to English dictionary, so that they might start to talk together. Neither TOM nor ADAM could tell her in any detail the abilities this computer might have. It was, to them, a blank book. A complete unknown. TOM wanted to eliminate her (personal cultural).
