DW 01/5 '''Durq'''is a timid Skaine, smaller than most, who is bullied by other Skaines, and who's life is threatened by other Skaines when they are imprisoned on the ship, before being released by Nickie. Krask, Slevin, Barqx, Herz, and Grets. Meredith (EI) eports the bullying and threats to Nickie, and she rescued Durq from the room, finding him hiding between two cabinets. Durq maintains his timidity throughout the book, in his room whenever he was not working, never looking directly at anyone, hrdly speaking. he chose to stay aboard Nickie's ship, where he would definitely survive, rather than going with the other Skaines when they were put off Memento Luna. Nickie doesn't mind him absenting himself, as she has a hatred for Skaines, and can hardly bear to look at him at first. He mostly helped Grim, in the kitchen.
