Shimmers were the invisible guards used at the SEDE prison. Origin unknown, appearance unknown because they were invisible. Wearl, one of them, had taken a liking to Minister Sslake, the democratic dictator of Tol, before it was taken over by the Pallotins. (Other Shimmers think she's crazy!) She is very attracted to Kalan, thinks he's sexy when he fights, and more sexy when he's cocky. She fought alongside Kalan at the Fortress, and in the prison, so she's really fallen for him! She will go with him help him in his search for more Balians. Bob will go along with them, as he is one of the few that can hear /Wearl speak. Bob is interested in finding someone like Kalan's Mom, Gara, so he's also personally interested in the search.
