 EIs handled flights. Humans along for the ride. ArchAngel handling ship. ArchAngel pulls alongside, connects. Pirates plan to steal her as Captain talks to them. Jacqueline and Mark start fighting as soon as they board the other ship.
 Ch’urn challenges Jacqueline to one-on-one fight. She accepts. After a few minutes of fighting, Jacqueline changes to Pricolici form, fights Ch’urn, but didn’t use claws. (Peter’s comment about, “We can get intelligence out of living pirates. If you bring me dead ones we can’t get shit!” still rang in her ears.) Jacqueline finishes off fight, dislocating Ch’urns arm, knocking him out. Goes to Bridge to check on Mark, leaving Sabine and Ricole guarding the other pirates.

 Bethany Anne, in her quest to understand the Etheric Dimension, how she might better take people with her from a distance, and how she might better use it to provide options for the those left on the planet, asks TOM for guidance.

If you kill them on your property there are no questions asked, but if someone comes looking for a body you have to prove the killing was warranted. Most immediately call for the police to investigate. If you fail to speak about deaths or other infractions on your property, the cops assume you have something to hide and try to prove you guilty.”

All but three were torn apart as high-velocity kinetic weapons smashed into them, cracking them at the seams, bursting the energy containment fields in their engines, and opening their ships to vacuum. Seventy-six escape pods were collected and the three remaining ships cut their engines, allowing themselves to be boarded three hours later. Twelve weeks later the remaining pirates were tried and sentenced to hard labor on the Southern Continent.
